Biographical Information[edit]
Billy Jo Hobert was a 16th-round draft pick of the Chicago White Sox in the 1993 amateur draft. He had been known primarily as a football player, having shared MVP honors in the Rose Bowl the prior year, and he would play 6 seasons and 29 games in the NFL. Hobert played 15 games for the GCL White Sox in 1993, hitting .256/~.356/.308 and manning the outfield.
