Biographical Information[edit]

Infielder Bill Urbanski played in the Pittsburgh Pirates system from 1953 to 1955 and the Washington Senators system in 1956. He had limited power, averaging one extra base hit every 20.4 at-bats and one home run every 502.3 at-bats (doubles: one per 24.3 at-bats, triples: one per 167.4 at-bats). Perhaps the highlight of his career was his .336 average in 85 games for the Erie Senators in 1956; he hit .278 for his career as a whole.

His father, Billy Urbanski, played in the major leagues in the 1930s.

He later was a learning disabilities specialist for the Perth Amboy Board of Education's Department of Special Services for over 30 years.
