Biographical Information[edit]
Bill "Solly" Salisbury appeared in two games for the Philadelphia Phillies in 1902.
Bill was born in Algona, IA, in north-central Iowa. In 1901 he went 28-14 for the Portland Webfoots, a team which also featured Joe Tinker.
Years later he was briefly on the 1908 San Francisco California League team, which also featured the young Ping Bodie.
He died in Rowena, OR, seventy miles east of Portland, OR.
