Biographical Information

Bill Moran played a couple of years in the majors, in 1892 and 1895.

Through 2008 he is one of twelve major leaguers with the last name Moran, of which there is also another Bill Moran and one Billy Moran. This Bill, however, was the first to come to the majors.

When he played for the St. Louis Browns in 1892 the team average was only .226, but with the Chicago Colts in 1895, it was .298.

His minor league career was from 1890 to 1897 and one season he played in Joliet, IL his home town.
