Biographical Information[edit]

Bill Laude was a substitute umpire who worked a total of three games in the American League when the regular umpires were on strike in 1978 and 1979.

He was an umpire in the Appalachian League in 1972 and 1973.

He was a long-time high school sports official in Illinois, working state finals in basketball, baseball and football in a career over 50 years.
