Biographical Information[edit]
Bill King was a radio broadcaster for the San Francisco Giants beginning in 1958 and the Oakland Athletics from 1981 until his death in 2005, a total of 25 years. He was also an announcer for the San Francisco/Golden State Warriors of the NBA and the Oakland/Los Angeles Raiders of the NFL. His signature expression behind the mike was "Holy Toledo!"
In 2017, he was posthumously honored with the Ford Frick Award for excellence in broadcasting.
