Biographical Information[edit]
Bill Johnstone played in the minor leagues from 1906 to 1910. Per records available, his best season was his last, when he hit .272 with 101 hits in 115 games for the Marion Diggers. Baseball-Reference.com lists him as managing the Mattoon Giants for part of the 1908 campaign and the Marion Diggers for part of the 1912 campaign — however the Bullpen lists a William Johnston as leading the club in 1912.
