Catcher Bill Henderson was selected by the Detroit Tigers in the first round of the 1987 amateur draft with the 20th overall pick. He played three seasons in their organization, reaching the Class A level, before his career ended.

Following his playing days, Henderson was a high school coach in the Miami, Florida area. He is currently co-owner of Baseball at the West End, a training facility in Greenville, South Carolina.
