Biographical Information[edit]
Bill Dammann holds the record for most triples hit in a career without hitting any other extra base hit. He slapped six triples in 131 career at-bats.
Although it may seem odd for a player with the nickname "Wee Willie", Bill was a pitcher. He had an above-.500 record in each of his three major league seasons, and his teams were above-.500 as well.
Dammann played at least 14 seasons in pro ball. With Nashville during most of 1902, he went 17-3. In 1903-04 with Spokane, he won 26 and then 23 games.
