Biographical Information[edit]
Bill Cunis played for Boston College in the 1960 College World Series and 1961 College World Series. The Boston Red Sox signed him but he decided to focus on his wife and new baby and never reported to a minor league team. He taught social studies and math in the Ashland Public School system and coached several cross-country state champions. He competed in numerous marathons and ultra-marathons. He was assistant coach at Boston College from 1964-1986, taking over the reigns from Eddie Pellagrini in 1969 (Pellagrini presumably missed the season due to illness). He also coached high school basketball. After retiring as a teacher, he drove a school bus.
