Biographical Information[edit]
Bill Batsch had a tremendously successful one game career, coming to the plate once and drawing a walk against Hippo Vaughn of the Chicago Cubs to finish with a career OBP of 1.000. He is not listed as having played in the minors, so presumably he came out of Bethany College, where he attended in 1911-16, directly to the 1916 Pittsburgh Pirates. Having achieved perfection in the major leagues, he went on to other endeavors for the rest of his life.
