Biographical Information[edit]

Starting pitcher William Arrildt played in the Brooklyn Dodgers system from 1947 to 1949.

With the Pulaski Counts in 1947, Arrildt was 19-6 with 188 walks and a 4.43 ERA in 33 games (205 innings). He led the Appalachian League in wins and walks, placed second behind Richard Maher in earned runs, finished third in innings pitched and tied for third in hits allowed (201). He was 7-14 with a 3.17 ERA in 28 games for the Newport News Dodgers in 1948 (placing third in the Piedmont League in losses) and in 1949, he was 9-6 with a 2.98 ERA in 23 games for the Cambridge Dodgers.

He served in the Navy during World War II.
