Biographical Information[edit]
Bessie Noll has played for the US women's national team.
Noll was born and raised in Japan, becoming the first female player on her high school's team and working her way up in the Japanese Little League system. She spent summers in the US, playing softball. She joined Team USA for the 2012 Women's Baseball World Cup. After six games, as a part-time outfielder, she was one of the US's top performers, going 5 for 10 with 2 doubles, a triple, 5 runs and 6 RBI. In a matchup with defending champion Japan, she hit a 3-run double off Yui Shingu that proved to be the margin of difference in a 5-2 win. Her first time on the hill for the US, she walked 3 and threw a wild pitch while retiring none as part of a 15-9 loss to Canada.
