Biographical Information[edit]
Ben Weber, who was a 30-year-old rookie in 2000, pitched six years in the majors with a record of 19-8. He was used solely in relief, including in the 2002 World Series where he appeared four times in relief for the Anaheim Angels.
He is one of the few major leaguers to play in the CPBL before coming to the majors.
Weber pitched in the minors from 1991-1995 and then played in independent ball in 1996. In 1997-1998 he played in Taiwan, and then came back to the Pacific Coast League in 1999 and much of 2000.
He had a variety of injuries that limited his play in later years. After his major league days he pitched in the minors and independent ball in 2006.
