Biographical Information[edit]
On April 12, 1927, the opening game of the 1927 season, Ben Paschal became the last player to ever pinch hit for Babe Ruth. The replacement came in the 6th inning, after Ruth had gone 0 for 3, with two strikeouts; Paschal hit a single.
Notable Achievements[edit]
- Won two World Series with the New York Yankees (1927 & 1928) (he did not play in the 1927 World Series)
