Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Ben Hughes began his professional career in 2011.

He was taken by the Colorado Rockies in the 10th round of the 2011 amateur draft, one pick after catcher Curt Casali. He struggled throughout his career, posting a 5.89 ERA in 2013, the only season he eclipsed 100 innings pitched. The Rockies let him go following the 2013 campaign and he latched on with the independent St. Paul Saints, with whom he had a 5.90 mark in 58 frames.

He returned to his alma mater as an assistant coach in 2015 [1].
