Biographical Information[edit]
Ben Adams was an Olympic pitcher.
Adams won Silver in the 1912 Olympics in the standing high jump, behind his brother Platt Adams (the only time in Olympic history that brothers finished 1-2 in a track and field event). He also won Bronze in the standing long jump. In the baseball exhibition, he was lent to the Swedish team by the US. He was their starting pitcher and took the loss while going 1-for-3 at the plate.
