Beep Baseball

From BR Bullpen

Beep Baseball is a form of baseball for blind people (those with vision of 20/400 or worse). It involves several rules adjustments. The batter and pitcher are on the same team, there are six fielders and two sighted volunteers who call out to which position the ball is hit. If a player "smothers" the ball before the batter makes it to the base, he is out. Otherwise, he scores a run. There are two bases (1st and 3rd) and the umpire can switch which base the player has to run to; the base makes a noise, like the ball, so the player knows where it is. There is an annual Beep Baseball World Series, featuring teams from around the world.
