Biographical Information[edit]

Barry Shetrone was the first Baltimore-born player for the team that became the Baltimore Orioles after it moved from St. Louis. After his major league career, he played on championship softball teams and was an insurance agent.

He died of Lou Gehrig's disease.

He was interviewed in an oral history of the Baltimore Orioles, for the book From 33rd Street to the Camden Yards. Comments by Barry Shetrone
