Biographical Information[edit]

Balor Moore was a hard-throwing lefty pitcher selected by the Montreal Expos in the first round of the 1969 amateur draft. Moore was fast tracked to the parent club and made his big league debut on May 21, 1970. At 19 years and 116 days old, he remains the youngest player in franchise history, including the team's current incarnation as the Washington Nationals.

A combination of control problems and injuries hindered Moore's development. Overall, in eight big league seasons, Moore compiled a 28-48 record to go along with a 4.52 ERA.
