Bahamas Baseball Association

From BR Bullpen

The Bahamas Baseball Association oversees the Bahamas national baseball team, which has finished as high as 5th in the Pan American Games in the past. In the view of many Bahamians, the BBA decayed after its heyday in the late '60s and early '70s, becoming moribund by the 1980s. By 2005, ex-major leaguer Tony Curry -- the BBA's former president -- had grown deeply disenchanted with the organization. After an embarrassing performance by a hastily assembled national team in 2005, he fired a broadside to various key officials. The letter started by saying, “I wish to inform you of the dilapidated state of baseball in The Commonwealth of The Bahamas.”

There is another group called the Bahamas Baseball Federation that operates in the islands. See Official website of the Federation
