Biographical Information[edit]
Baek-man Yoo managed and coached in the Korea Baseball Organization.
Yoo played for the South Korean national team in the 1965 Asian Championship, 1967 Asian Championship, 1969 Asian Championship and 1971 Asian Championship, and he coached them in the 1977 Intercontinental Cup. He coached Seoul High School from 1980 to 1981, and the MBC Blue Dragons named him their pitching coach when they were founded in 1982. Yoo was an interim manager for the Blue Dragons from April 26 to June 28 in the '83 season, then he served as pitching coach for the Samsung Lions starting in 1984. He returned to MBC as bench coach in 1986, and he coached their minor league team in 1987. He became the interim manager of the Blue Dragons on July 11, 1987, and he was their pitching coach in 1988. The Lions named him their bench coach from 1990 to 1994. He later became a professional golfer.
