BR Bullpen talk:Image tags

From BR Bullpen

MichaelEng/ I am not quite sure how to do what you ask. I can assure you that the photos used on this page have been my personal property from the time they were taken. The team photos were given away or sold on special nights at the ball games. Blazo`s head shot was taken from the team pix. Those are the only photos being used. None of these photos are copyrighted. On my dugout user page I deleted the pix that are not being used on the Muncie Reds page. The rest of the images are mine and have been for at least 59 years. If I need to further tag these in a different manner please let me know. Thanks, Dugout [[Also I had the 1950 photo reduced in size, making for a much better fit]]....Again, thanks for keeping me straight.

Add the approprite image tags onto the description page of each image on the list. See here for an example. If all of your images were published without a copyright notice in the 1940s and 1950s then they would been in the public domain so {{PD-USA}} would be the one to use, with an comment stating that the images were published without a copyright notice. The image of yourself(?) could be released under any license of your choosing as you are the creator. --MichaelEng 09:23, 23 July 2006 (EDT)

I will make the suggested changes to the tagging of the Images. I am trying to stay within the parameters of your rules. I want to make it clear, again, that these were my images, have been for more than a half century and I am releasing them to anyone who wants to use them. I know that when these or any photos are put out to the public that there is hardly anyway to control their use. You have been very helpful to me in what I have done and I would like to see your groups idea grow. Some of us just need to be instructed, in your rules and regulations, a little sooner in the ball game. Thanks again for your time and let me know should I need to make any other changes to meet the proper criteria. It is difficult in the way this site is set up to get messages that are sent or left for a user. Should you feel a need to contact me for whatever...my e-mail is isa4130@comcast.net I have checked my page daily and this is the first time I found this message.--dugout August 01, 2006, 09:44 (EDT)

Question[edit]

I have a photo of a minor league pitcher that I would like to upload; the photo is from my family's personal photo collection (the pitcher is my great-grandfather). I have gotten permission from all appropriate members of my family, but I don't know how to site a source or what image tags I should use. Any help would be apreciated. Thank you in advance (HairMetalLives 00:04, 19 October 2007 (EDT))

I'm not sure. PD-USA is used for Mike Blazo's photo. - --Mischa 09:43, 19 October 2007 (EDT)

Licensing Photos[edit]

I snapped some photos at the ballgame I went to last night and would like to add a couple to the Bullpen. However, I do not know how to license my photos. I read this page and this one three times each and still am a little confused. I also don't want to guess, as I'll probably do something incorrectly. (HairMetalLives 01:33, 10 April 2011 (EDT))
