Austin Black Senators
The Austin Black Senators were a Negro League team that was formed in the 1910s and was one of the top black teams in Texas and a member of the minor Texas Negro League. The team's top players, like Willie Wells, were snatched up by northern and midwestern teams for the top Negro League circuits as the poor southern teams could not compete for the best talent.
