Biographical Information[edit]
Ashley Scott has played for South Africa on the international stage. He was 1 for 10 with 3 walks in the 2004 World Junior Championship and fielded. .867 at third base. In the 2006 World Baseball Classic, he got one at-bat, pinch-hitting for Shannon Ekermans in a loss to Mexico and striking out against Roberto Ramirez. After a season at Northeastern Junior College, he was South Africa's main third baseman in the 2007 Baseball World Cup. He hit .200/.304/.300 in the Cup with no runs and 2 RBI in 7 games. In 6 games at third, he made 3 errors and fielded .842. Scott later transferred to Tacoma Community College.
Scott was 0 for 3 in the 2009 World Baseball Classic.
