Biographical Information[edit]
Outfielder Asdrubal Baro spent 14 years in the minor leagues, playing from 1951 to 1964. He reached Triple A numerous times and spent a few years in Mexico.
He hit .300 or better a few times. In 1950, he batted .300 with nine home runs and 31 doubles in 146 games for the Santa Barbara Dodgers. In 1953, with the Miami Sun Sox, Baro hit .320 with 151 hits. Between the San Antonio Missions and Houston Buffaloes in 1958, Baro batted .305/.399/.430 with nine home runs and 63 RBI in 138 games. With the Veracruz Aguilas in 1960, he hit .316/.432/.392 with 92 walks and only 25 strikeouts in 128 games. He may have reached the .300 mark in other years, but his statistical record is incomplete.
