Biographical Information[edit]
Third baseman Arthur Staples played in the Chicago Cubs organization from 1961 to 1963. He hit .251 with 10 home runs in 62 games for the Morristown Cubs in his first season and in 1962, he hit .239/.336/.383 with six home runs and 30 RBI in 72 games for the St. Cloud Rox. In 1963, he hit .121 in 11 games for the Rox. Overall, he hit .236 with 16 home runs in 145 games.
He is the brother of Ken Staples.
His year of birth has also been listed as 1939.[1]
