Biographical Information[edit]
Artemiy Artamonov has played for Russia in several international events. In the 2003 Baseball World Cup, he split second base duties with former minor leaguer Alexander Nizov. Artamonov was 3 for 9 in the event and handled 17 chances without an error. In the 2005 European Championship, the Muscovite tied former minor leaguers Simon Gühring and James Buccheri for third in home runs (2), trailing former major leaguer Ivanon Coffie and Alexander Lauterbach. He had half of Russia's four homers and batted .229/.270/.457 but fielded .829 at SS with 7 errors. In the 2007 European Championship, Artamonov hit .143/.182/.190.
