Biographical Information

Art Johnson went 19-10 for Norfolk in 1927, thus earning him his shot with the New York Giants late that year. He gave up one unearned run in three innings of work in his only game.

The book A Summer Up North, about baseball in Eau Claire, refers to an Art Johnson who pitched for Eau Claire in 1932, and who was a spitballer.
