Biographical Information[edit]

Armando Rodriguez was an American League umpire in 1974 and 1975. He umpired in the Mexican League from 1959 to 1966, and again from 1970 to 1973 and from 1976 to 1976. In 1967 and 1968, he was in the Pacific Coast League, then he moved to the American Association in 1969. In His book The Umpire Strikes Back, Ron Luciano said he was promoted to the American League as part of an exchange program with the Mexican League; the two were part of the same umpiring crew in 1975, under crew chief Bill Haller.
