Biographical Information[edit]
Arlie Tarbert played in the majors with the Boston Red Sox in 1927 and 1928.
Tarbert played baseball and basketball at Ohio State University. He was at Ohio State from 1925-27, and made his major league debut in June 1927. An outfielder, he was the same age as teammate Billy Rogell.
Although his first name was Wilbur, his yearbook identified him as W. Arlington Tarbert.
Boston later sent him to the Hollywood Stars in the Pacific Coast League.
