Biographical Information[edit]
Outfielder Arista DeHaven played in the minor leagues from 1906 to 1915, spending the plurality of his career with the Dayton Veterans. Though he never had any more than 173 hits in a season, he never had less than 115. In 1909, with the Terre Haute Hottentots, DeHaven batted a career-high .336 in 139 games, leading the Central League in batting average and hits (173). He also had good speed, stealing as many as 31 bases in a season, per records available.
Overall, DeHaven hit .278 with 1,409 hits in 1,336 games over 10 seasons.
