Biographical Information[edit]
Arch McDonald was a longtime broadcaster for the Washington Senators (1934-1939 and 1941-1959). He also broadcast games for the New York Yankees in 1940. Before calling games in the majors, he was an announcer for the Chattanooga Lookouts.
McDonald is remembered for his recreations. The Ol' Pine Tree died on a train coming home from a Redskins-Giants game in New York.
