Antonio Castro
Antonio Castro was the first catcher in the history of the Cuban national team. Hitting 8th in the opener of the 1926 Central American Games against Mexico, he was 2 for 3 and had 6 putouts. After sitting out game 2 in favor of Alfredo Consuegra, he returned in the finale, going 2 for 4 with a run against Mexico, with 13 putouts, an assist and two errors. Cuba swept all three games to get the Gold.
