Biographical Information[edit]
Andy Logan played for the Regina Red Sox from 1966 until at least 1979. He won two home run titles and a batting title.
Logan hit .234 in 1967, .319 in 1969, .313 in 1971 and .355 in 1972. In 1972, he was third in the Southern Major Baseball League in average. He batted .346 in 1973 and hit 5 homers to tie Dave Dupree for the league lead. In 1974, Logan batted .308. Two years later, he hit .371 to finish third in the Saskatchewan Major Baseball League.
Andy hit .308 in 1977 and went deep eight times to lead the Saskatchewan loop. His best year, though, was 1978, when he led the league in average (.452), hits (42), doubles (15) and triples (3) and was named the All-Star catcher. He played for Team Canada in the 1971 Amateur World Series, 1973 Intercontinental Cup and 1979 Pan American Games.
