Biographical Information

Pitcher Andy Larkin was selected by the Florida Marlins in the 25th round of the 1992 amateur draft. In 1993, he earned the distinction of throwing the first no-hitter by a member of the Marlins organization. While pitching for the Elmira Pioneers of the New York-Penn League on July 24th, he no-hit the Welland Pirates in a 6-0 win. He was named the Marlins' #5 prospect by Baseball America following the season.
