Biographical Information[edit]

Catcher Andy Dravecky is the uncle of major league pitcher Dave Dravecky. He played in the Pittsburgh Pirates chain from 1946 to 1949. He played his first three years with the class D Tallahassee Pirates, batting .255/?/.323. He improved each season, starting at .224 in 1946, then .257 in 1947 and .274 in 1948, though his slugging fell from .373 to .323 in the 1947-1948 span. His final pro season was spend with the class C Uniontown Coal Barons, where he put up numbers of .264/?/.323 in 34 games. He hit .256 for his pro career.
