Andrew Zimbalist

Andrew Zimbalist (born in 1947) has been economics professor at Smith College since 1974. However, in the baseball community, he is better known as one of the leading researchers on the business of sports. His 1992 book Baseball and Billions is considered a ground-breaking study on the subject. This was followed by a number of other titles.

In 2018, he was honored with the Henry Chadwick Award for his contribution to baseball research.
