Biographical Information[edit]
Andrew Betcher graduated from Ripon College in 2021 with a degree in English. While still a student he worked as a social media manager for the College Scouting Bureau. After graduation he joined Starters Sports Training as a Pitching Development Coordinator, a position he held through 2022.
The Chicago Cubs hired Betcher in 2023 as a development coach in their minor league system. He was probably assigned to the Iowa Cubs, though this could not be confirmed. In 2024 he worked with the Iowa Cubs either as a development coach focused upon pitching or as an assistant pitching coach - sources differed on his exact role.
