Andrés Tanaka was a minor league outfielder who later managed.

Tanaka broke in during 1949 with the Tuneros de San Luis Potosi, hitting .240/.336/.281 in 56 games. He was out of the Mexican League for two years, then was 8 for 48 with three doubles and four walks for the 1952 Nuevo Laredo Owls. He ended his Mexican League career in 1958 with the Mexico City Tigers, going 12 for 37 with 2 doubles, 2 triples and 3 walks. Overall, he had hit .238/.324/.309 in 95 games in the LMB.

Tanaka later managed in the lesser Mexican Southeast League and Mexican Center League. In 1973-1974, he was 169-98 as skipper of the Saraperos de Saltillo, but they fell in the finals in '73 (in 7 games to the Mexico City Red Devils) and in the semifinals in 1974.
