Andy Janzen is an infielder for the German national team.

Janzen originally was a pitcher as well as an infielder. He broke into Bundesliga in 2000. In 2002, he hit .241/.310/.329 and was 3-7 with a 7.95 ERA, walking 42 in 54 1/3 innings for the Herrenberg Wanderers. The next season, Andy (just 19 years old still) moved to the Heidenheim Heideköpfe. He batted .289/.381/.373 and led the Bundesliga's southern division with 79 assists. He only pitched one game that year.

Janzen hit .423/.464/.558 in 2004 in limited action but still tied for the division lead with 3 triples. He made his national team debut in the B Pool of the European Championship, hitting .286/.294/.571 for the German entry. In 2005, Andy slumped to .234/.278/.266 in 18 games for Heidenheim. He hit .129/.206/.258 for Germany in the 2005 European Championship while fielding .896.

In 2006, Janzen hit .404/.451/.532 for Heidenheim, despite limited playing time once more. He played third base that year. The next season, the infielder was 5 for 17 in Bundesliga play and actually saw more time in international events than in the regular season. In the 2007 European Championship, he hit .333/.406/.333 with 7 RBI in 8 games for the 4th-place Germans. He was 1 for 14 in the 2007 Baseball World Cup but reached base once by walk and twice by being plunked. He fielded .909. In the 2008 Final Olympic Qualification Tournament, Janzen hit .105/.105/.158 only as Germany's starting shortstop.
