Biographical Information[edit]
André Schrijber was a long-time figure in Dutch baseball.
He began umpiring in the Hoofdklasse in the 1960s, a role he held until 1982. He worked five Haarlem Baseball Weeks, European Championships and European Cups. He was a member of the Royal Netherlands Baseball and Softball Association Protest Committee from 1986-1988 and 1998-2007?. He became an overseer of Dutch umpires in 2000 and was Umpires Commissioner for several years, starting in 2002. He was Technical Commissioner for the 2005 European Championship, 2009 European Championship and Olympic Qualifiers in 2003 (Europe/Africa) and 2006 (Americas). He was Team Manager of Haarlem Nicols in the 1980s.
