Biographical Information[edit]
Pitcher Amy Applegen played a decade in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. In 1944, her first season, she went 16-15 for the Rockford Peaches, and she posted a 13-11 mark the next year. She struggled to an 8-18 record in 1946 but threw a no-hitter on July 31st. She moved on to the Muskegon Lassies the following season and went 16-10. Later in her career, following three losing seasons, she moved to first base. Overall, she was 86-98 with a 2.52 ERA in 206 games pitched.
