Biographical Information[edit]
Alexander Ayala has been a shortstop for the Camagüey team. He hit .268/.335/.405 in 2007-2008 Serie Nacional, his 9th season. To that point, his career average was .279 with a .393 slugging percentage. In 2008-2009, he batted .281/.332/.405 and fielded .961. His 356 assists led the league and his 85 double plays tied for 6th.
Ayala hit .301/.343/.499 in 2009-2010. He had 345 assists, second in the Serie Nacional. He was named to Cuba's team for the 2010 Haarlem Baseball Week.
