Alejandro Sanchez signed with the Atlanta Braves in 2009, the first player born in Spain to be signed by the Braves. He went 6 for 12 with a triple, two runs scored and two RBI in the 2009 European Junior Championship and allowed 5 runs in 2 2/3 IP.
Sanchez made his pro debut with the 2010 GCL Braves on June 28, going 0 for 3 with three strikeouts in a game against the GCL Phillies.
