Biographical Information[edit]

Third baseman Alberto Rinaldi is believed to be the first Italian-born and raised player to play in the minor leagues. In 1965, he appeared in 24 games for the Aberdeen Pheasants and 7 games for the Tampa Tarpons. He then returned to Italy, where he had a long career as a player and mamager in Serie A1. He was inducted into the Italian Baseball Hall of Fame in 2006.
