Alan Nathan
Alan Nathan (born 1956) is a professor of Physics at the University of Illinois with a specialty in experimental nuclear/particle physics. He also worked for decades on documenting the physics of baseball, analyzing such phenomenons as the contact between bat and ball and the flight of the baseball. He has written a number of articles on these subjects.
In 2021, he was honored by SABR with the Henry Chadwick Award for outstanding contributions to baseball research.
