Al Warner
Albert H. Warner
- Born September 18, 1865 in Alton, IL USA
- Died November 20, 1916 in St. Louis, MO USA
Biographical Information[edit]
Al Warner was a National League umpire in 1898 and 1899, then presumably lost his job after the National League contracted four teams at the end of that season. Still, he worked 2 games in 1900. At a time when home plate umpire and base umpires were considered wholly different specialties, he was the latter, as he only worked the field in 1899, although he did work some home plate in the other two seasons.
