Biographical Information[edit]

Al Shaw pitched for five years in the minor leagues, going 28-27. He debuted in 1964 with two teams in the same city - the Sarasota Sun Sox (3-0, 2.86) and SRL White Sox (2-2, 1.26). In 1965, Shaw was 2-7 with a 3.49 ERA for the Clinton C-Sox. The next year, Shaw had an impressive 1.50 ERA but went only 10-9 for the Winter Haven Sun Sox. He finished fourth in the Florida State League in ERA that year. In 1967, the right-hander had a 11-8, 3.04 year for the Lynchburg White Sox. He concluded his career with Lynchburg the next year, dropping his only decision and posting a 4.80 ERA in 4 games.
