Biographical Information[edit]
Al Jurisich pitched four years in the majors, including in the 1944 World Series.
In the minors Al played several years in Opelousas and New Orleans, along with part of a season in Rochester, before coming to the majors. After his major league days he spent several years playing for San Diego and a year with Birmingham.
Notable Achievement[edit]
- Won a World Series with the St. Louis Cardinals in 1944
